I put forward that the most important actions the South Carolina state legislators can take to help economic development in this state are these:

Immediately:

1. Repeal Act 388
2. Reduce Tax Assessment on Manufacturing Property (currently 10.5%)

Longer Term:

1. Begin the process of comprehensive tax reform.
2. Begin a reform process for a more locally controlled and smaller government (from municipality to county to state)… modelling for the nation.
