Jeff Howlett joins us for part 2 of his interview. In this half, Jeff elaborates on his career in music, and the punk-rock ethics that he carries with him to this day. He’ll also tell us more about the story behind his hugely popular 2013 documentary, A Band Called Death.
Jeff Howlett was born in Florida, and spent years in Virginia and Vermont where he played in punk bands and worked for Burton Snowboards. He now lives in Rock Hill, South Carolina where he pursues his passion for tintype photography.
A Band Called Death, the documentary Jeff co-directed about 3 african-american brothers who recorded a groundbreaking proto-punk record that remained undiscovered for 35 years has achieved global success.
