This week, we’ll talk about what it’s like for musicians building their life in a small town. We’ll talk about opportunity for musical pursuits, how they’ve changed with technology and cultural growth, and explore the personal value of creativity.

Vincent Izzo is a student at Furman University in Greenville, SC, and is scheduled to graduate in June 2016 with a double major in accounting and music. He was born on Long Island, NY, and was raised in Fort Mill, SC. When he is not working on his studies, he spends his time learning how to play the numerous percussion instruments available to him both at the university and his home. Vincent has performed in many different groups including: jazz combo, percussion ensemble, concert band, orchestra, marching band, multiple different rock bands, and more. He is currently working full-time as an accounting intern at Bernard N. Ackerman, CPA, P.A. and part-time serving at Fratelli Ristorante & Pizzeria. In addition to performing Inuksuit in Nashville, TN, for Make Music Nashville, he is collaborating with fellow composer, and RevenFlo team-member, David Frick in writing and performing new music as well as performing old music in a new way. The two have been working together since High School.
